Sonia Delaunay was Russian painter, illustrator, and textile designer who was a pioneer of abstract art in the years before World War I. She was painting in the style known as Orphism, which involved the harmonious juxtaposition of areas of pure colour. Sonia extended Orphist principles to the design of fabrics, pottery decoration, stage sets, and other applied arts. Sonia Delaunay was known for her vivid use of color and her bold, abstract patterns, breaking down traditional distinctions between the fine and applied arts as an artist, designer and printmaker.

I did this poster as an homage to her.
